Living a Holy Life in Christ Jesus
Living a holy life can seem like a daunting task. However, God’s Word is steadfast, and offers us comfort and guidance on how to live a holy life through His power.
Romans 12:12 says, “Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship”. This Scripture encourages us to submit ourselves to God, so that we may live a life according to His will.
Living a life dedicated to Christ begins with consistently seeking after Him, allowing His Word to be our foundation for faith. Psalm 24:3-4 states, “Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? Those who have clean hands and pure hearts, who do not trust in idols or swear by false gods”.
As we work to please God with every aspect of our lives, we will develop deep, unwavering faith in Him. Joshua 1:8 encourages us to, “Meditate on the book of law day and night and be careful to abide by all that is written in it; then you will be prosperous and successful”.
We should be mindful of our daily actions and carry ourselves in a manner pleasing to God. 1 Corinthians 13:4 says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud”. We should strive to love and act with kindness and humility, so that we are able to live our lives in accordance with God.
Romans 12:2 also instructs us to, “Be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may discern for yourselves what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect”.
In Conclusion
Living a holy life in Christ Jesus may not always be easy, but with God’s grace and mercy, we can achieve victory in our faith. Let us trust in His Spirit and His will, and follow Him with unwavering faith and obedience. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved (Mark 16:16).
